AutoScript
A content planning app for a luxury vehicle rental company. It writes short-form video scripts, keeps track of the fleet, watches competitors and lays out a month of posts.
AutoScript is the tool I built for my job making social content for a luxury vehicle rental company. Before it, planning a week of videos meant a notes app, a spreadsheet, a dozen browser tabs and a lot of rewriting.
What it does
- Scripts. Writes short-form video scripts with Claude, GPT-4o or Gemini, plus sound suggestions you can preview.
- Fleet. Every vehicle has its own media, sounds and notes, so a script is about the actual car, jet or yacht.
- Competitors. Keeps tabs on what similar accounts are posting on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
- Thumbnails and edit ideas. Thumbnail concepts, and a suggested edit timeline for raw clips.
- Bookings. Tracks bookings and rental pricing. Not "sales," because that isn't how the business works.
- Calendar. A 30-day plan the team can share, with separate roles for admins, managers, creators and viewers.
What I learned
It started as a single HTML file and grew one feature at a time, which is still how I like to build. The hard parts weren't the AI features. They were deployment details: environment config, ports, database connections.
Where it's at
Live and in use. Next up is pulling in trending content automatically through the YouTube Data API and RapidAPI.
